Sugar Ruffles specialise in elegant bespoke wedding cakes and hand crafted sugar flowers. Sugar Ruffles is run by cake designer Charlotte Tyson. Charlotte was named as one of the top 50 Wedding Cake Designers in the UK in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Her work is regularly featured in wedding and cake decorating magazines and blogs. Charlotte is also a regular contributor to Cake Craft Guides, contributing exclusive step by step projects to both 'Wedding Cakes & Sugar flowers magazine' and 'Party Cakes Magazine'. 


Wedding Cakes 
As a guide our two tier wedding cakes start from £230, our three tier wedding cakes start from £370, our four tier wedding cakes start from £420 and our five tier wedding cakes start from £520. Prices are dependent on size, flavour and complexity of design. Please contact us for a design quote.

Cupcakes are priced from £2.50 upwards, depending on the complexity of the design. Our minimum order for cupcakes is 12.  

Iced Biscuits
Our iced biscuits are priced from £2.00 each. (Individually packaged and tied with ribbon.)

Wedding Consultations

Please contact us to arrange a design and tasting consultation where you can sample some of our delicious flavours, view our elegant wedding cakes, and discuss your ideas and requirements.

Consultations take place in our dedicated cake studio attached to our family home, and are by appointment only. 

It is helpful to have made venue, colour and floral decisions prior to your consultation so we have that information available. To assist us with the design of your cake please bring along any elements you would like incorporated into the design, such as colour swatches, your invitations, a picture of your flowers or a sample of your dress material. Alternatively, we do offer the same design service by phone or by email. 

Wedding Delivery and Set Up

We offer delivery and set up to your reception venue. Please get in touch for a quote.

How to order

When ordering a cake, please allow as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment, as many dates are booked up to 18 months in advance. However, this is just a guide, on some occasions we will be able to accommodate last minute orders.

Terms and Conditions

A deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking. Your date is reserved and your cake order confirmed only when the deposit is received by Sugar Ruffles. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Final Payment
Payment of the remaining balance is due 28 days prior to delivery. If payment is not received by this date, we reserve the right to refuse your order. Absolutely no refunds shall be granted within 28 days of the event. If you are incorporating a fruit cake or a large number of sugar flowers into your cake, an earlier part payment may be required due to the advance preparation necessary.

Any changes (design, guest numbers, flavours, colours etc.) must be made at least 6 weeks prior to delivery. Changes could result in an increase in the total cost.

Release of Liability
Sugar Ruffles will make every possible effort to create and safely deliver your cake. Once delivery and set up is complete, Sugar Ruffles shall not assume any responsibility for any damage incurred to the cake. 

Cake Collection
Should you choose to pick up your cake, Sugar Ruffles shall not be responsible for damage occurred once the cake leaves the Sugar Ruffles premises.

Use of Photographs
Sugar Ruffles reserves the right to photograph your cake for our own reference, display or promotional advertising.

Cake Stand Hire
Cake stands and other rental items must be returned within 5 days of your event date, unless prior arrangements have been made with Sugar Ruffles to collect from your venue. Cake stand deposits are refundable provided that the cake stand or rental item is returned, undamaged within 5 days.
